Classic + Clean
Straightforward and polished. A good fit for a website, LinkedIn or a directory listing.
Headshots
Professional headshots for Michigan business owners, professionals and teams. Relaxed, confident photos that look like you on a good day, not like a stiff corporate portrait.

Comfort is part of the work
If being in front of a camera makes you tense up, you're in good company. I'll guide you through it, keep things relaxed, and watch for the small shifts in expression and posture that make a photo look like you.
Getting someone comfortable isn't separate from taking a good headshot. It's part of taking one.

Fit the use
Where the photo will live changes how I shoot it: the crop, the background, what you wear, even how much empty space I leave around you.
Straightforward and polished. A good fit for a website, LinkedIn or a directory listing.
You in your workplace, or somewhere that tells people what you do.
Still a headshot, with more room for movement, personality and creative direction.

Headshots or more?
Headshots are great photos of you. Personal Branding goes further and also shows your work, your space, your products or what it's like to work with you.
Neither one is more professional. They're simply solving different problems.
Investment
Not every headshot session needs the same amount of time. Sometimes you just need a quick update. Sometimes you need a little more.
3 finished digital images. Minis are offered on select dates and locations, and they're different from a standard private session.
A 30-minute private session: one location, one outfit, 3 finished images, plus planning for where the photo needs to work and guidance on posing and expression.
Headshots don't have to mean a traditional corporate portrait. A session can be more environmental, personality-driven or editorial: at your desk, on a laptop at a cafe, across multiple locations, or in a styled studio setup. It's still a headshot about you, not a Personal Branding session, unless the photos also need to explain the business. If that's what you need, I'll quote it around the time, locations and images involved.

Questions
Choose something that feels like you and makes sense for how you'll use the photos. Solid colors and simple layers usually photograph well, but you don't need to suddenly dress like a different person just because you're getting a headshot. If you're unsure, I'm happy to help you narrow it down before your session.
A phone photo works well for a quick post. A professional headshot is for the places people first meet you: your website, LinkedIn, a directory listing, a speaker bio. Good lighting, a little direction and a consistent look across those places help people feel confident in you before they reach out, and we can plan your photos around where you'll actually use them.
That's normal, and you don't need to know how to pose. I'll guide you through what to do and make adjustments as we go. A big part of my job is paying attention to when you start to relax, because that's usually when the photos start feeling the most like you.
I photograph headshots on location. That might be at your workplace, outdoors, or somewhere that makes sense for how you want the photos to feel and where you'll use them. We'll figure out the setting as part of planning your session.
Headshot Minis are $75 for 3 finished images and are offered on select dates and locations. Individual Headshots start at $100 for a 30-minute private session with 3 finished images. If you want something more involved, I'll quote it around the time, locations and images involved.
Yes. If you need consistent headshots for multiple people, that's a Team + Workplace Photography project. We can update everyone's headshots and, if useful, photograph your team, workspace and what you actually do while I'm there.
